Career and Technology PlanningThe Carl Perkins act of 1998 allocates federal funds to states for distribution to local school districts for use in Career Technology Education (CTE) programs. For funding purposes, it is important for districts to properly identify students who are in CTE “programs” versus students who may be taking a single CTE course. SeaClass IP™ / CTE coding tool allows districts to map their course and pull the student course records from the student information system. This facilitates the coding of the students properly for state and federal reporting. In the state of Texas, SeaClass IP™ / CTE is associated with the sixteen Career Pathways as defined by the state. Councilors have found the tool essential when incorporating the mandated 4X4 schedule of individual student’s career pathway. |
